Could you folks sing the praises or boo if you ride a Brooks B67 or B68
saddle?

For $84 shipped I could get a unsprung B68 or sprung B67 in black probably.

I'm hoping you'll encourage me to get it in two weeks or so. I'm a upright
rider on my touring/grocery-getting bicycle so I'm sure I want one of those.

Hi Mark. I just got a B68s(ladies) saddle and I think I am really goingto
like it. I paid $99 so I wish I had found one at your price. I have only
ridden a couple blocks on it but already like it better then the one that
came on my Bike Friday. It is black., Fran

I toured for 3,000 miles last summer on a B68 (doesn't have springs)
in a fairly upright position on an Atlantis.
Ah, such comfort all day long. I had no need for padded bike shorts.
Most comfortable saddle I have ever, ever had.

Mark, I have a B67 on a Litespeed Blue Ridge. I have put over 50,000 mi
les on it, it has been drenched in downpours and is still the most comfor
table saddle I own...I could ride 100 miles most days on that saddle... :)

RE: Brooks B67 or B68 saddles

I have one of each. I have used one brooks saddle without springs for 30
years and then bought a brooks saddle with springs last year for my
second bicycle and like it a lot. If I had to have only one I would vote
for springs. It absorbs some of the road shock making the ride more
comfortable and less fatiguing. Either choice is excellent.

I have both.  The sprung on my single and the unsprung on my tandem (the
springs interfere with stokers stem).  I love the B67.  Seat pain is no
longer an issue with it. The 68 is OK but not as comfortable, especially a
s the day goes on or there is a lot of climbing.=0A=0Askip=0A=0A=0A=0A_____

I've got a Champion Flyer, which is basically a sprung B17, on my fixed
gear. My riding buddies laughed at first and then they realized that I
wasn't having to stand as much as they were through rough sections. It
definitely smoothes out the ride.

I paid about the same for the B67 I put on my LHT. Most comfortable
saddle I've ever owned.
If you buy a black one, just be sure to wear black pants on the first
couple rides!

I had what I think was a B68 or a B66... anyway, quite a bit wider than the
B17. I couldn't get comfortable on it all all, even though my bars were
several inches above saddle height. It was too wide and dug into the lower
part of my butt/upper thighs all wrong. I couldn't ride 5 miles without a
lot of pain. This wasn't a break-in problem, or a tilt adjustment problem,
just a "this saddle and my butt don't get along" problem. The B17 I like a
lot- I have two of those. The B17 Champion Special I like a lot, too.
Definitely go with the springs.
